Hi! I’m Cecilia Mantilla, a professional makeup artist with a passion for helping people connect with their inner and outer beauty.

My interest in beauty was sparked when I was just a little girl, getting up early every morning to watch my mother get ready for work. I’d stare in awe as she applied a bold lip liner paired with a light lipstick. I loved watching her enhance her beautiful features and transform into the gorgeous woman who inspired me to experiment with makeup myself, always letting me practice with her products and dress up in girly clothes.

As much as I loved the beauty world, I never considered makeup artistry as a career option. Instead, I chose to enter into the field of child development. Throughout college, I continued to foster my love for makeup, experimenting with different looks and new techniques as I got to know my skin and the products that worked best for me. I quickly became immersed in the makeup world, watching endless Youtube tutorials and following my favorite beauty vloggers.

I decided to document my progress by posting pictures and reels of my looks on Instagram, where I quickly began gaining traction. While building a social platform of over 9k followers, I began to get featured on the pages of some of my favorite beauty brands while others were coming to me for makeovers. It was then that I knew that makeup artistry was what I was meant to do, and decided to enroll in a twelve week course at one of the best makeup academies in LA.

My training at Michael Vincent Academy allowed me to hone my skills as doors were opened that allowed me to work with many different people, including models and celebrities. As I perfected my craft, I learned about the importance of high-quality, cruelty-free products that I take pride in using with my clients today.

I’m blessed to live out my passions in everything I do today. Outside of my work, I’m proud to serve as a board member of Project Hope CA, a local nonprofit focusing on empowering our community in southern California. Here, my husband and I help to provide mentorship and reentry services to local youth and coordinate events to engage our community.

I am rewarded every day with the confidence a woman exudes after her makeover. I genuinely enjoy the ability to connect people of all different walks of life together through the power of beauty and self appreciation.
